When I paint abstractions, I keep wondering, could this actually exist? How would it survive real world physics? This series turns 2D forms into 3D as a way to test that question. It’s basically an experiment.

This piece is called Water Cycle. Think about why it is a cycle, then leave a comment. From left to right, the order is 1, 2, 3, 4.
“The texture is honestly insane.” Agree?

This is one of my mom’s favorites. You know the lines on the flower pot? Those are actually three dimensional.
Before I dropped out of high school, my essay tutor saw this piece and asked if she could have it. She even offered to trade it for a month of lessons, so I gave it to her right away.
I made this with leftover Handy Coat from decorating my clothing store. The texture is seriously killer. I had it on display in the store too, then ended up giving it to a customer who bought a lot of clothes as a gift.
It’s a decalcomania experiment on canvas.
These weren’t small either. Each canvas was over 36 by 29 inches.
This was made from leftover fabric swatches from sampling clothes.
Take a guess what this texture is made of. You probably won’t know. Here’s a hint: go to Raw and look through the drawings. Something that shows up a lot in there is what this is. If you still can’t figure it out, leave a comment and I’ll tell you.
I had this on display in my clothing store, and a customer wanted it so badly that I just gave it to them. I kind of regretted it after, because it was one of my favorite pieces.
I made and sold leather jackets painted as variations of this piece.
I think I have photos of them somewhere. I’ll upload them if I find them.
I have quite a few animal paintings. Back in elementary school, I even took special classes at a university, and I was especially into biotechnology. I wanted to become a biotech scientist because I was obsessed with the idea of making chimeras through new genes and genetic manipulation. I also raised a wild range of animals: snakes, lizards, spiders, mice, crayfish, centipedes, all kinds of things. At one point I had mealworms and frozen mice in the fridge, and my mom was basically ready to kick me out of the house. I even went to a pretty intense private high school planning to become a veterinarian, then dropped out.
